So, I think I have a new obsession.
Skyr. It's thick, creamy, tangy and I love it. Skyr is Icelandic 'yogurt' (technically it's a cheese) that is very tangy, tangier than
greek yogurt and it's actually super healthy. Made from skim milk, it's non-fat, extremely high in protein - 16g in 6oz. - and it has live active cultures. I've only ever seen it at Whole Foods and Wegmans and it's ridiculously expensive for a 'yogurt,' but it's gooooood and good for you. If you ever get the chance to try it, TRY IT!
*Note - the
skyr.is brand is imported from Iceland and is sweeter than
siggi's, which is made in New York by an Icelander. They're both tasty, but siggi's can be a bit of a shock in comparison to traditional yogurt because of the tanginess.*
